Do you need to “front up” to the media on behalf of your company or association? Does that prospect make you break out in a cold sweat? My Media Training Workshop offers you a hands-on opportunity to prepare for and practice dealing with the media. We can cover phone interviews, face-to-face interviews and on-camera interviews, along with preparing media releases and understanding the world from a newsroom’s point-of-view. This is often run as a half-day session or a series of sessions. I believe you will find this best value when run one-on-one, or with a small group of colleagues, preferably no more than four. Ever wondered about the mysterious world of media releases? This one-day workshop covers how to write media releases and, most import ant ly, how to use them. We will work through the process of discerning good media release material, strategies for approaching media outlets, non-media applications for media releases, and create some customised templates to make the process simpler for you, when you get back to the office. This course works best when run with no more than 12 particip ant s, and is typically delivered as a “public” or “open” course, but can be run “on-site”.
