What Makes the Media Tick?

This one- or two-lesson presentation for Years 10, 11 or 12 students, is available for schools throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area.

I spend the time talking a little about my various roles in the media then we dive behind the scenes to discuss what really goes on in a news room. There are plenty of stories, candid confessions and open discussion about news and, especially, current affairs programs.

We identify the needs and motivations of media outlets and workshop story creation.

A series of small video segments are used to highlight points throughout the discussion.
