Comedy

Where intellectual rebellion meets perfectly timed punchlines

Here’s the thing about comedy: most of it treats audiences like they’re waiting to be fed punchlines rather than people capable of connecting dots. I prefer developing bespoke comedy for each occasion because cookie-cutter material assumes everyone in the room shares the same cultural blindspots.

Real comedy rewards curiosity rather than punishing it. It should make you think “I never looked at it that way” instead of “I’ve heard this before.”

Whether I’m reviewing the audience instead of being reviewed, or turning familiar sayings inside-out to reveal their contradictions, the goal is always the same: give people permission to question what they’re supposed to accept without thinking.

Professor Sebastian Longsword: The pompous authority figure perpetually deflated by reality

Meet the relaxed academic who turned business education into performance art. Professor Longsword runs the MBA School of MBA Credentials, where conventional wisdom is politely shown the door and innovative absurdity gets a seat at the head table.

Through courses like “Emotional Blackmail for Beginners” and “Quantum Networking in Social Media,” the Professor delivers MBA wisdom faster than you can say “synergistic paradigm shift.” His signature show, “A Lunchtime MBA,” proves that nothing worth knowing can be taught (but it can certainly be performed over a glass of wine).

Professor Longsword delivers in a brilliant, seamless fashion, and his melodic voice and intelligence kept us captivated.” – Kelly Noble, Glam Adelaide

Murray Bridge: The big-hearted drifter guided by ghostly visions of Johnny Cash

Murray Bridge isn’t just the name of a South Australian town (though he shares that burden). He’s a country singer and radio nomad whose life philosophy comes courtesy of late-night visitations from the Man in Black himself. Johnny Cash appears in Murray’s dreams offering hard-love mentorship about commitment, authenticity, and why running from your problems is terrible cardio.

Currently chronicling his adventures in an upcoming autobiography, Murray’s journey takes him from small-town radio disasters to racing carnival revolutions, always accompanied by his inability to stay in one place long enough to build a proper life. His story weaves together outback wisdom, romantic fumbling, and the peculiar magic that happens when someone finally stops running from their own heart.

Book and songs coming soon.  Travelling show in development.

Bespoke Stand-Up for Special Occasions because your event deserves material that actually fits

Generic comedy is like a suit bought off the rack – it might cover the basics, but it’ll never quite sit right. I craft original material for corporate events, conferences, festivals, and celebrations that actually relates to who’s in the room and why they’re there.

This means researching your industry, understanding your audience’s shared experiences, and finding the unexpected angles that make people say “how did he know that?” instead of “I’ve heard this joke before.” Whether you need someone to roast your retiring CEO with surgical precision or help a conference audience laugh at their own professional blind spots, the material gets built specifically for your occasion.

The Unexpected Turn Guarantee

Every performance includes my signature move: taking familiar expectations and twisting them to reveal deeper truths. Audiences come expecting to be entertained but leave with permission to think differently about something they’d previously accepted without question.

Because in a world trying to numb us into passive consumption, laughter isn’t just entertainment. It’s intellectual rebellion disguised as a good time.

Ready to give your audience permission to think while they laugh? Let’s craft something perfectly unsuitable for anywhere else.
